A turtle kind of day

I have to say sometimes its nice to just do nothing on a Saturday. I was having a slow, relaxing, turtle kind of day. Not in a rush to go anywhere or get anything done, enjoyed some time lying out in the sun, took a nice long nap, simply fabulous :)

And what better to do on a slow turtle kind of day, than to make a cute little turtle. I found this tutorial at Make it, Love it and decided to give it a try. I think my little guy turned out pretty cute but his shell is a little puffy in areas unlike her nice smooth shells on the tutorial. O well, he is pretty darn cute and glad to have him as part of my softie family :)

Cute polka dot belly

He is very curious about these people staring at him

I like him, it would be cute too if you made him huge and he was a chair/ottoman. My kids would freak.

I love the eyes on your turtle. And as for the puckers, I'm guessing that if you had firmly stuffed his/her shell you would have them all dissappear.

even with the puckers, I think it looks amazing!
